I'd been sceptical about how reliable the dolphin sightings would turn out to be, but she explained that if one pod failed to appear, there was usually another pod of bottlenose dolphins nearby as almost all fishing is banned in the national park waters. We had common dolphins swimming alongside and under us for about 40 minutes, then watched from a short distance as they and a flock of gannets and gulls feasted on a shoal of small fish.
